Jonathan came to visit me this weekend from Saturday until Sunday! It was fantastic, as always. He arrived late Saturday morning and we walked around Providence for a bit, got some lunch at Johhny Rocket's, then took a bus back to URI. Then we got pie and came back to my place. We drank tea, ate pie, watched movies, etc etc. It was awesome. I also love how we can argue for hours over stupid stuff, and have great, heated debates, and then "make up" so to speak like 2 minutes later :-P 'Tis good.

Other than that not much has been going on. OH. I know what I can discuss.

The first episode of the new season of ER that was on last week. Saddest. Thing. Ever. That was the saddest thing I've ever seen on film. I cried for like an hour. What really got to me was Abby and Luka's situation I think. I dunno why it made me so sad either. I think I just fear it happening to me some day. It was sad. I liked it, but I didn't like it. GRRR life is so sad sometimes.

I will be changing the colors to the journal too eventually, by Jonathan's recommendation. I just don't feel like doing it now haha. I gotta go work on some Latin.

Well, I am all settled in now at URI, and I love it here. I started classes on September 6, and they are absolutely fanastic. 100000 times better than PC (don't get me wrong though, I did enjoy the time I spent at PC. It just wasn't for me). My English classes are the best, obviously. I enjoy reading. My evironmental geology class is interesting too. I enjoy nature, so learning about it when I can helps.

I also got a job at this coffeehouse called Bagelz. That's a really fun job. I get to make tea and coffee and chai and espresso and sandwiches, and I get free tea and coffee and chai and espresso and sandwiches while I am working! It's fantastic. It's also a great place to go to do hw and have some tea or food, so I will be doing that this afternoon because I have a crapload of work that needs to get done soon!

This weekend was a wonderful weekend. I went home on Friday because on Saturday Jonathan, his aunt and uncle (Kate and Kevin) and I hiked up Mt. Monadnock. When I got home Friday I relaxed at home for a while, then went over to Jonathan's where I spent the night. 'Twas fun. We watched Shrek. Then we woke up kinda sorta early (at 7) Saturday morning and had some eggs and toast and coffee, then we were on our way to the mountain! It was a perfect day for hiking. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. We also took a different trail from the one I took earlier this summer when I went up there with my father and cousin. We took the cascade link trail, which was sooooo gorgeous. That is a nice trail. It's longer than the two main trails, and goes around the side and into these cool areas that the main trail misses. And it's nice and remote, so we were the only ones on trail. And the nature around there is basically untouched because very few people use the trail on a regular basis. Ohhh it was orgasmic. I love nature and hiking :)

So now Jonathan and I said that our next adventure is Mt. Washington next year, and so it shall be!

A lot has happened since I last updated.

I'll be transferring to URI, and I am EXTREMELY excited about that. I've selected my courses for 1st semester and I cannot believe how much more freedom I have compared to the "freedom" I had at PC. My courses for this year at URI will be LAT301: Intermediate Latin, ENG241: US Literature I; ENG251: British Literature I; ENG330: Structure of American England and Advanced Grammar; GEO100: Environmental Geology

So much better than PC. I am actually taking English courses since I am an ENGLISH major! Who woulda thunk!? AND I have declared Classics with a focus in Latin as my second major since I will have more time because at URI I can take 18 credits per semester instead of the shitty 12 credits at PC, which was really only 9 because I had to take the Development of Western Civilization, which wasn't really Western Civ but the Development of Christianity in Western Civilization, which didn't help me at all since I don't consider myself a Christian anymore. SO. That said, I am much happier at URI.

Also, the BEST part, is that I am living off campus in a HOUSE. It's a split level ranch and I will be there with 5 other students, and I get MY OWN ROOM. Which means I can have a boy over whenever I want and he can sleep over and I won't have to worry about the stupid fucking rules at PC that guys had to be out of the dorms by midnight. Yay! And I can get up in the morning and make tea and breakfast in the kitchen and then go out onto the porch and eat and drink tea and read and ah I am so excited. And there will be boys living there which is awesome because living with all girls SUCKS. Ugh. I hate girls sometimes.

(see pictures of the room here: http://community.webshots.com/user/meschwitz )

And I will be saving about $7000 from the room and board costs at URI, which kicks some major arse.

Also a couple weeks ago I went to my favorite spot in the world in Maine for a weekend vacation with the family. We stayed there from Thursday to Monday morning. It was so much fun. On Thursday we wanted to get up there early so we could have the whole day to do whatever, because it's about a 6 hour drive from here (it's up in the middle of nowhere). So my mom said that we would be living at 4 fucking 30 in the morning. Ok, whatever, that's fine. I figured I would just get up at 4:30 and hop in the car and go back to sleep, but of course my mother, being the OCD maniac that she is, got my sister and me up at 3:45 in the morning. We left before 4:30 and got up there so early that we couldn't check in for another 3 hours. Unbelievable and totally typical of this family. I still can't believe we got up at 3:45 in the morning. Omg.

So anyways the weekend was fun, and I pulled a total shithead move. I went hiking by myself in the creepy woods. It was a 3 mile hike which isn't too bad, but I thought I would be fine since it was in the state park that we were staying at, but once I got up to the top of the hill I fucking flipped because I heard two random trees fall down, and I panicked. I stoppped at the top of the hill and was like "hmm i am up here all by myself. There could be aliens in here. Or bears. Or angry Moose that will charge at me. And no one will hear me scream because this path looks as though it hasn't been used in about 10 years." So I freaked out and sprinted the entire way back. But the thing is, I thought the trail would be evenly divided: 1.5 miles to the top, 1.5 miles to the bottom (the trail was a loop). But it was more like 1 mile to the top and 2 miles to the bottom. So on my way DOWN it took twice as long to get back, so I started freaking out and panicking since I was already IN panic mode, and I was like "OMGOMGOMG this is gonna be like a Stephen King book. I am gonna keep running and I am never going to get out of the woods. The trail is going to go on for eternity and I am going to be doomed to eternal terror running through these creepy woods!" I finally got out alive though. And when I got back to the campsite I realized that I took my father's switchblade with me in case anything DID happen, and it was a good thing I had forgotten about it while I was hiking because if I had remembered that I was carrying it I probably would have whipped it out and opened it and ran down the hill with it at 100mph and fallen and accidentally stabbed myself.

So yea!

I now want to take a moment to discuss the Floyd Landis scandal. It is disappointing, yes, but there are a few things I have to say about it.

Floyd tested positive for high levels of testosterone, which is not uncommon in cycling. The normal level in a normal male is a 1:1 ratio to another type of horome. But the legal limit in cycling is 6:1, so obviously there are some double standards. Moreover, high testosterone, or using synthetic testosterone, is NOT "blood doping" as all news channels and websites are saying. Doping this, doping that, blood doping, blah blah blah. Blood doping is an entirely different process than using synthestic testosterone. Blood doping is increading the count of red blood cells in one's blood to increase oxygen flow throughout the body and to the muscles. This can be done now by using synethetic EPO. Not testosterone. High testosterone is not blood doping. It is an illegal advantage if it is synthetic, but it is a FAR less serious offense than blood doping. Blood doping makes an athlete into something he is not. It is a total fraud, and isn't just a booster, but a terrible way to "dop" one's body into being something it is not. Testosterone just boosts. {see: http://www.texarkanacollege.edu/~mstorey/beckham.html ; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_doping )

So if Floyd actually did use synethetic testosterone as a booster, I think is sad and unfortunate, and it really, really disappoints me. Whether or not he did I cannot say. If he doesn't produce hard evidence of where the testosterone came from then I will have to conclude that he did use synthestic testosterone for a boost.

However, I do not condemn what he did, or what others like Jan Ullrich and Ivan Basso have allegedly done (ie, real blood doping). I also do not support the actions that have been taken to "punish" these athletes. In and of itself, I do condemn blood doping. However, this entire sport of cycling needs the biggest kick in the ass. It has been said by many professional cyclists that just to get into the procycling tour, you need to blood dope, so the peer pressure is absolutely enormous. It also means that probably 90% of cyclists dope. Therefore to pick out individuals who win or "get caught" and then to punish them is asinine. The entire sport needs a two year suspension for all of the athletes to get clean. Then the sport needs to do mandatory and regular blood tests on ALL of the professional cyclists on a REGULAR BASIS. It might be more costly than usual, but if that is the way it has to be, then that is the way it has to be. Testing a guy who wins a stage of the tour and then banning him if he has high testosterone is ridiculous. It needs to be everyone or no one. The entire sport has become a fraud, and it needs a kick in the ass. I have been around the sport for as long as I can remember because of my father, and I love it, but it needs a huge kick in the ass, and mandatory, regular blood tests. To punish Floyd for something everyone is doing is stupid. Punish none or punish all. I support Floyd in his attempts to defend his title as Tour de France winner.

Now for some light-hearted stuff (a survey).

.:General Info:.

Name::	Leanne Meschwitz
Age:: 19
Gender:: Female
Height:: 5'5"ish
Birthday:: 2/3/87
Hair Color::	Dirty blond/brown
Describe yourself in one word:: Being
Describe your personality in one word:: Being

.:School Life:.
What grade are you in::	14th. bitch
What school do you go to::	University of Rhode Island
And where is that: Fiji
Do you get good grades:: Yep
Favorite Subject:: Hmm, my major is English, but my favorite subject is definitely Latin

.:Love Life:.
Sexual Preference:: I like the penis.
Do you have a bf/gf::	Yes, a boyfriend
If so,what is their name:: Jan Ullrich, but don't tell him that he is my boyfriend because he doesn't know this yet.
How long have you been dating::	1 year
Do you consider yourself in love with them:: Of course
If so,why:: He is having the massive thighs that crush the souls of the weak
Have you had your first kiss::	Yep
If so,when:: Can't remember
Do you have a crush::	I dunno!
If so,what is their name:: I dunno!
Why do you like them::	I dunno!
Do they know you:: I dunno~
Do they know that you like them:: I dunno!
How long have you known them::	I dunno!

.:Friends:.
Best Friend(s):: Mary!
How long have you been friends:: 15 years!
Do you consider yourself a good friend:: Yes
How many friends do you think you have:: I dunno
Most popular::	Probably Deanna
Most conceited:: Mary
Friendliest:: Me
Meanest:: Jonathan
Prettiest:: Jonathan
Craziest:: Mary, duh
Oldest:: Rob
Youngest:: Katie
Most recent::	I dunno
Smartest:: Probably Jonathan

.:Favorites:.
Food::	Right now it's sushi
Person:: My old yoga teacher.
I haven't updated in 3 weeks. Blah.

My 4th of July was awesome. I drank pretty much constantly for 5 days, and it was great. And I had good food and spent time with good people.

But in more important news: THE TOUR DE FRANCE! So after all the bannings for suspected blood doping, an American is in first. Such a great slap in the face to the French. They ban all the men who were supposed to win it this year. Most importantly, my man, my baby, Jan Ullrich from Germany. He is the man who won it in 1998 and who has always been coming in 2nd (last year 3rd) to Lance. This year was supposed to be his year, but the ban him for only suspected blood doping. If you look at him you know he isn't blood doping. It's just stupid. Ivan Basso (who came in 2nd last year) I think did blood dope, but not Jan. And even if they did dope, it hasn't been proven, and probably WON'T be proven, so to ban them, especially Jan who has proven himself to be one of the top cyclists in the history of the sport, is just stupid.

So what happens in this tour as a result? The French get the lead once, and today, the day before Bastille Day, an AMERICAN takes the lead away from the French. Ha. Mr Floyd Landis take the lead away and is now in the yellow leader's jersey. And this man is the man who is now supposed to win the whole tour. I love how all this drug shit backfired for the French. Oh, you haven't won the tour in a while? Boo fucking hoo. There is no better way to slap the French in the face for these bannings than to have an American in the lead on Bastille Day, and to have yet ANOTHER American win it this year. Let's cross our fingers that Floyd will win.

And also: this Tour just IS NOT the same without my Jan :( I miss him so :(

But:

 YES.
Hiking trip in NH!

So I went hiking in NH on Friday with my father and cousin Randy. Here are some pictures with captions!

The trail as we first started going up.

There were a ton of trees like this one that had fallen over on this path that we were on. It was very strange because the trees that got knocked over weren't rotted or anything. It looked like a tornado had gone through there.

About halfway up.

The view from about halfway up

My padre and I halfway up the MT

As we were approaching the summit. That is another small hill that is on the other side of the mountain. We didn't go to that part though.

A nice view as we were getting closer to the summit.

My father and I with the summit behind us.

Me being strange.

Another one of me being strange. That is still the summit behind me.

A view from the top!

And again!

Again more view from the top.

Another view from the top.

A pretty zoomed in picture.

And then we started to head down.

On the way down we saw this thing. That strip in the middle is a vein of quartz I think, and it went all the way down the side of the mountain.

See

Walking on down.

Big rock.

We found this tree at the bottom of the mountain. I thought it was cool so I jumped inside.

So that was the hiking trip! It was very, very fun. I love hiking.

Yea so it's 4:51 am and I cannot sleep. I think it's the caffeine I had today. I didn't even mean to have that much caffeine. It just kind of happened. I had a cup of iced coffee at like 6, and then at around 8ish I had two cokes when I was having dinner with Rob. So yea. But usually my medication I take every night for my migraines puts me to sleep pretty well. Not tonight though apparantly, and it sucks. Let's just say that I am quite pissed. Yes.
The woman that I do housework and yardwork for during the day is fucking crazy. Pardon my language, but she really is. Her house has crap piled up to the ceilings. Just random junk. Towels, cushions for chairs, wreaths, dolls, random decorations, table cloths, lamps, storage bins of the aforementioned crap, tables, chairs, plates, cups, shoes, clothes, books, candles, etc etc. The list goes on, but that is just a small sample. The woman is a pack-rat and never throws anything away. So now the situation has gotten so bad that she can't find things she has bought, so she goes out and buys more of the same thing (let's say cleaning supplies for example), so now she ends up with 8 of the same thing, unused and still in the package, but she just can't find it because it's buried under all the other crap in some random room in her house.

So I took her out to CVS yesterday because she's old, has MS and can't drive. Now, if I were in her situation with the stuff in her house, I easily could have gone in there and spent $25 max and be out of there within 15 minutes. But we spent an hour and a half in there and she spent $150. She bought everything that was on sale, even if she KNEW she had 8 of them back home that she could find and use. She bought a HUGE thing of paper towels for example because they were 25% off, and she said that they only mark down paper towels once a year, so she has to buy them even though she has three other huge boxes of them downstairs that she can find and use. She did that with everything that she bought. She bought two gallons of ice cream because it was buy one get one free, even though she has SIX gallons of ice cream in her freezer.

Now don't get me wrong---I love the woman. She's very kind and sweet and would do anything for you at any time. But she's just nuts.

She also thinks people are stealing things from her house left and right (when in reality she probably just can't find it under all that shit she has).

So I brought her to a store tonight so she could get a table for her hallway, and she saw a small cat made out of clay that was maybe a foot long and 6 inches high, and she freaked out and SWORE that it was the one missing from her living room. She was pointing at it and swearing on her mother's grave that it was THE one from her room. Now I have probably seen a 1000 of those in my lifetime in tons of different places . The woman is nuts.

Allyson is here right now bugging me as I write this.

So what else?

I am excited about reading this summer. I have a huge list of books and have already read two of them. I am so excited! Yay! I think the people that work at Barnes and Noble know me now, and probably think I am the biggest nerd cuz I finish books that I buy in like a day. I buy most of them rather than take them out from the library cuz I like to write in the books and underline and put post-its in the books too, just in case you were wondering why I spend money on books. It's the obsessive-compulsive English major part of me.

I had a very eventful and tiring (but good) weekend!

Friday I went home to be with the family for a little bit. That was fun. I picked my sister Jen up from school with my mom, and she was excited to see me there. She enjoys it when I pick her up from school (she is only 5). So that was cool. Then when I got back home I went over to my neighbor Jackie's house for a while with my mom so Jackie's kids and my sisters could play together, so we were chatting and such. Then the exchange students (Jun from Korea and Andres from Colombia) came home from school (at Dean). My neighbor Jackie takes in exchange students every once and a while from Dean College, so it's really cool. So anyways I love the exchange students because I think it is friggin awesome to experience their way of life kinda sorta. So Jun and his Korean friends were gonna cook dinner that night and they invited me over! So I went over there at like 6 and had some AWESOME, but very spicy, Korean food. Ugh it was so damn good. So after dinner we were hanging around out back, and I played badminton with Andres, talked in a combination of English/Spanish so he could learn English and I could learn Spanish. So when it started to get dark, at like 8:00, all of us sat up on the deck at a table and had some beer and some aguardiente, which is a Colombian liquor that you can find in the liquor stores here. I FRIGGIN LOVE IT. UGH. It is SO good. It tastes like black liquorice kinda sorta, and it is very strong. I had half the bottle of that stuff that night and strangely didn't get all that drunk either, which was cool. But omg. I love that alcohol. It's SO GOOD. It actually has a real, classy taste, and Andres said that it reminds him of his country. I believe his exact words were "I can taste my country." So I think that that's pretty darn cool.

So then on Saturday I went in town to visit the J-man, which was a shitload of fun as it always is. We stayed at his new place in Brighton which was really cool. It's very old looking inside and is very artsy and Bohemian looking, so I thought it was awesome. So on Saturday we wandered around Boston all day, which was really neat. I got there at 1:30 and we went to his place to drop my stuff off, then we watched some tv for a bit, then went back out again to go food shopping. My job for the day was to help him with his first time food shopping for himself haha. I felt so special.

After food shopping we went out to get some wine/dinner. He had his friend pick us up some Merlot, which was KICK ASS. I loved it. MMMMMM wine :-D After dinner we went to see Mission Impossible 3 which was actually really, really good. Definitely better than the lackluster 2nd one. It was easier to follow too. The story line was pretty good, the acting, especially from Philip Seymour Hoffman. Tom Cruise may be a psycho in real life, but he does make some pretty good movies.

So we went back to Jonathan's apartment after the movie and hung out for a bit and what not, had some wine, etc. Watched some Reno 911, which kicks some serious arse.

We had to get up the next morning at 6 though ugh. Well I got up at 6 to make breakfast. I got Jonathan up at 6:30 because I know he hates the mornings. So I cooked some eggs and made some toast and what not. I like doing stuff like that, especially in the mornings since I am generally a morning person. Aye aye aye I am destined to be a housewife or something. Anyhow we had to get to South Station by 8:20 to meet his grandmother for the walk for hunger. That woman is AMAZING. She does the walk for hunger at a ridiculous pace like it's no big deal! I really hope I am even just partially like her when I am her age. Yikes. But anyways the Walk For Hunger was a lot of fun. It was a beautiful day for it, and I really enjoyed walking and talking with people I really respect and such. It was a good day. Afterwards we went back to the apartment to relax and get our stuff to get ready to go because we had to catch a train back to Franklin for dinner at mi casa, which went very well. My sisters were happy to see him again :) (as were my parents and grandmother who was also there).

So yea that was my weekend! It was extremely tiring because I did so much physically and didn't get much sleep, but it was fun! I hope I have more weekends like that in the future :)

I cannot believe that the first year of college is pretty much over. One whole year of college is done. At the beginning of 12th grade in 2004 I thought it would take an eternity to get to this point, but here I am already. It's as though I just woke up from a 15 minute cat nap. Things have changed, but so many things are still the same (in a good way). I'm still me, the people I know are still themselves, my backyard at home is the same, my dog is the same, my sisters are the same (aside from the fact that they are young kids and constantly physically growing), my room at home has changed, but only in the position of the furniture. It's still Leanne's Room. It still has the Leanne feel when you walk in. The bookcase filled with books sitting next to another huge pile of random books on the floor that don't fit into the bookcase is still there. It's so weird that I have an entire year of college done and life still stays with me. It is a very strange feeling. Back in September I thought this year was going to drag, but it hasn't, mostly due to the crew team here that I joined, which has been without a doubt one of the most amazing and rewarding experience of my life. I exaggerate not.

When I was here back in September and went to the gym for the first time I literally started crying when I saw that there were no rowing machines in the gym. I can even drag out of the archives of this journal the very entry to which I am referring:

I spent my entire fucking summer working harder than I have ever worked before. I spent hours in my basement on our indoor rowing machine working my ASS off, trying to get my times down for the 2k and 5k by a few seconds each time I tested myself. I spent hours doing 8-10k at a time, 40k a week. Today I finally went down to the gym at PC to check it out, hoping to continue working on my *indoor* rowing that I had worked so hard at over the summer, and I found out that they do not have any indoor rowing machines in their gym. They have a crew club that rows on the water, but no indoor rowing machines, which DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. You CAN'T practice on the water all the time. It isn't possible. And to get a more well rounded workout, you should use the indoor ergs. But they don't have any.
-September 12, 2005

That is how much just indoor rowing meant to me at the start of the school year. Afterwards I talked to the president of the crew team to find that they did in fact have a couple of rowing machines in storage, and that the team now has a real coach, a boat, a boathouse to store the boat in, and a good number of members/people interested in it. I naturally signed up for the team (which is only a club sport here at PC, by the way).

We finally got started in late October (I can even remember the date, in fact: October 26). At our first practice we went out on what is called "the barge," which is a huge boat that is impossible to flip over and is used for teaching people how to row. I fit right in and took off.

So we started going out in the real 8 person boat, and by the end of November we were doing pretty darn well. When we came back in January, though, TONS of people quit. Whimps. I think they realized that crew is actually a lot of real work, so when they found that out they quit as fast as they possibly could. Idiots. So we trained indoors on the machines for the winter, then in the middle of march we went back out onto the water. In only about 6 weeks or so of being on the water in the spring we accomplished SO MUCH. Everyone told us that we were never going to get out there and actually race a real college team this year, but we did, and we did awesome. PC can kiss my ass now for the bullshit they gave us about how we're never going to accomplish anything, never going to be able to race any real teams, etc etc. Yea well fuck you too and your hoarding of all the money you have, PC.

Ok so that was a bit of a tangent. Anyhow, this past year on the crew team has been amazing, and I am definitely going to miss it next year since I will be transferring to URI. I will be on the URI team next year most likely (I spoke to the coach and she said that I will have no problem making the team as a walk-on), but it won't be the same because of the friends that I have made here on this team. This team was total riff-raff, and I am going to miss that.

I will miss having to pile 9 people into a 6 person car just to get to practice at the boat house because PC would never provide us with any transportation. I'll miss the ride to and from the boathouse every day--driving up and over college hill and seeing the homies standing on the corner every day watching 9 white, Catholic kids rapping together. I'll miss getting to the boathouse and having it be absolutely FREEZING. The temperature in the 30s, the wind blowing, and water constantly spraying up over the sides of the boat as we row. I will miss the feeling of the freezing cold water nearly freezing my feet right off, making me have to soak my feet in the shower for 30 min after practice under really, really hot water to get feeling back into my feet. I will miss Narragansett Boat Club where we stored the boat. Not having any running water in the winter because the pipes would burst. I will miss river we rowed on. Going through that bridge, almost hitting that same building every single time we go through the first bridge. I will miss going through that weird second bridge that is an old train bridge, and I will miss almost hitting the sides of that bridge every single time since it was so narrow. I will miss hearing Mark yelling as we went through that bridge every day "PORT PRESSURE PORT PRESSURE, LINDSAY GET IT OVER TO THE RIGHT!" I will miss alternating by pairs, watching people catch crabs, having to go "ports to back, starboards to row" when we needed to turn the boat around. I'll miss rowing all the way out to the bay and being in the middle of huge ships and seeing route 95. I will miss rowing slowly and then having to move the hell out of the way to make way for Brown's friggin naval fleet of crew boats, only to find out it's just their NOVICE crew and not their actual varsity team. I will miss the riff-raff, underdog nature of our team.

I will most likely be on the URI crew team next year when I transfer, but it won't be the same as the PC crew team. I know I will have a ball next year with the crew team at URI, but it makes me sad that I have to leave this crew team. It's even harder cuz I was stroke on this team, and I was a member during the very first year. UGH. Sad. I will miss it.

Yea so it's been a very long time since I have updated. I will try to recall everything.

Crew has been taking up like my ENTIRE life. It is nuts. That is mainly why I haven't updated at all lately. We've been practicing on the water a lot and we have come SO far from the beginning of the year. At the beginning of the year we were all unorganized, people would come, then be a no-show for like 3 weeks, then randomly show up again for a couple of practices. We could only row by 4's and occasionally by 6's, and we couldn't even feather the blade. But now we are rowing by 8's, full feather, and even though we can't get the springing thing down at the beginning of the race, we do row pretty well by 8's. I saw a video of our race today and we looked pretty sick.

Which brings me to my next topic. Our "race" today. Yea so we go out there, a bit unprepared because it's our first year ever as a team, blah blah blah. But we were as prepared as we were ever going to be so we went for it. But it was whitecap conditions, and normally in whitecap conditions you are NOT supposed to go out. But we did anyway because our coach is nuts. We were like "Mark, it is WAY too windy, there is NO way we can go out there and RACE!" And he put his fingers into his ears and was like "LALALALALALALA HAHAHHAHA." Yea real funny. He is such an ass like that sometimes. So anyways we get down to the start of the race course, put our oars in the water, and go, and it was a mess. The waves were getting everyone completely SOAKED. I exaggerate not. We were drenched. Then we couldn't really row together because the waves were fucking everything up. THEN the cox in the boys boat steered the boat STRAIGHT into ours. Like big time collision. We were like wtf we are going to die. So once we recovered we started going again, getting more and more soaked with each stroke. Then we finally settle down into a nice pace and what happens next? My seat BREAKS. Yep. Flies right off the back and breaks and now I cannot slide up and down, which is a big deal because I can't get a full stroke in that way. And it was even worse because I was rowing stroke, which means I had to set the pace for the rest of the boat, and the rest of the boat had to follow what I was doing. So when I stopped everything got all fucked up, then Mar behind me had to stop too and fix my seat for me, god bless her soul. So then I get going again and the seat breaks AGAIN, and Mar fixes it. Then it breaks AGAIN, and Mar fixes it. Then it breaks AGAIN, and Mar fixes it. Finally we were done with the race. At this point all the girls were like on the verge of TEARS. It was awful. Ok so then we start going again and my seat breaks again, so after having enough of that I just took it out from under my ass and held it up in the air for Mark to see and was like SEE I CAN'T ROW WITH THIS SHIT!! Oh man. What a day. Then we had to take the boat out of the water and lift it up over our heads to bring it back into the boathouse, and there was like 3 inches of water in the boat, so it comes POURING down onto us, and Mark said he thought he saw a jelly fish and toilet paper in the water. YAY! What a day.

Ok big time tangent. But yea that is how the year has been going with crew, but it has been fun and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. It has definitely been the most rewarding experience I have had this year. When I go to URI I am going to try out for the team there and hopefully get put into one of their crappy boats :-D

The past few weeks I have also visited the J-man in Boston a few times. It's been a fun time. We've been just walking around Boston, getting tea, getting food, having some good drinks, etc. It has been fun! It's been cool too because the conversations we have never end. There are never any awkward pauses and such. We just flow, yo. Itz coolz.

School work has also been kinda nuts lately too. I want to finish off the year strong.

Hmm what else?

OH! Easter break. Haha fun times. I had Wednesday afternoon-Tuesday off since I go to a Catholic school and it was Holy Week BOOYAH. So I got home Wednesday, relaxed, saw my grandmother. Then Allyson and I went to the mall on that Thursday I believe. Then I visited the J-man on Friday and stayed there until Saturday, which was a lot of fun! He got me a bottle of Merlot. I was in heaven :-D That was one of the nicest surprises ever. I love little things like that :-D ESPECIALLY IF IT IS MERLOT :-D

Easter was SO MUCH FUN omg. My father's side of the family came over for Eastern dinner and such. And I was talking to my cousin Emily (who is in 10th grade) about school and such. Well mostly about English and Latin because those are my two areas and I am a super-nerd about them. And I kept asking Emily if she has read a certain book, or what books she has read, and I guess she and mom were playing the game "Let's see how long we can keep Leanne talking about English literature and Latin." :-P That was a nice day though.

Mmm then Easter night was fun! My Aunt Elaine came over for the night! We made some aweeesommmme drinks. We made these smoothy type things with strawberries, pineapple juice and coconut juice, then spiked it with lots of vodka and Bacardi Gold, and it was SO GOOD. It had a good kick to it too. Then I started drinking just pineapple juice and vodka. Mmmmm yummy :) I got pretty drunk (as did everyone else). We had so much fun though cuz we were just playing a game, laughing, having some good conversations. Good times. I like family.

I got a full-time waitressing job for the summer! I shall be working at Goodfella's in Franklin, so stop by and give me some big time tips :-D I am excited to have a full time job. It takes a lot of dedication and responsibility, but I figured it is time for that. I will also still be doing yardwork on the side for my neighbor, so that will also bring in some good cash that I need to save up for next year and such. I am looking forward to it.

This summer I am also going to continue training on the rowing machine a lot, which should be fun. I was very pleased with the training I got done last summer on it, and the training I've been doing this year with the team, so I would like to continue it. There are a good number of goals I would like to accomplish physically over the summer. I am also going to start running. I've never been able to run very well even if I can row my tail off, so I want to be able to run a little bit better.

Ok my sister and I had one of the most asanine conversations online tonight. It pretty much explains itself:

IhAveNoLifE1228: sup sup sup
DrownedWorldToy: not much ypu
IhAveNoLifE1228: lol im el bordo
IhAveNoLifE1228: omg youa answered
DrownedWorldToy: i am updating my journal finally
IhAveNoLifE1228: usually when i say sup
IhAveNoLifE1228: because are like hey
IhAveNoLifE1228: lol
IhAveNoLifE1228: oh i should do that
IhAveNoLifE1228: nah
DrownedWorldToy: what????
IhAveNoLifE1228: i dont know
IhAveNoLifE1228: lol
IhAveNoLifE1228: im talking fast
IhAveNoLifE1228: leanne when you live here
IhAveNoLifE1228: and you use the toothpaste, do not smoosh all of the toothpaste
IhAveNoLifE1228: on the tube
IhAveNoLifE1228: and smudge it
IhAveNoLifE1228: hsdjkhgdskds
DrownedWorldToy: i havent used that toothpaste
DrownedWorldToy: i have been bringing my own home
IhAveNoLifE1228: but
IhAveNoLifE1228: if you do
IhAveNoLifE1228: dont do that
DrownedWorldToy: i dont
IhAveNoLifE1228: cuz it makes me go crazy lol
DrownedWorldToy: and why dont you try flushing the fucking toilet in the morning
DrownedWorldToy: i know its you because there is tp there
DrownedWorldToy: and da doesnt use tp
DrownedWorldToy: and no one else is up
IhAveNoLifE1228: ok first of all
IhAveNoLifE1228: i do
DrownedWorldToy: ok no you dont
IhAveNoLifE1228: and second of all
IhAveNoLifE1228: da is up at like 4 00 in the morning
IhAveNoLifE1228: when was the last time you got up the same time as me
IhAveNoLifE1228: uhh last year
IhAveNoLifE1228: i dont even like pee up here
DrownedWorldToy: uh no
IhAveNoLifE1228: uh yea
DrownedWorldToy: and when was the last time i used the toothpaste at home?
DrownedWorldToy: OH WHAT NOW
IhAveNoLifE1228: uh like last week
DrownedWorldToy: uh no i BROUGHT MY OWN HOME
IhAveNoLifE1228: lo
IhAveNoLifE1228: lol
IhAveNoLifE1228: ok
IhAveNoLifE1228: then
IhAveNoLifE1228: when you do use the bathroom
IhAveNoLifE1228: m gonna sound liek mom ready
IhAveNoLifE1228: PUT THE TOWELS BACK ON THE HANGER
IhAveNoLifE1228: YEA
IhAveNoLifE1228: HUH?
IhAveNoLifE1228: lol
DrownedWorldToy: uh i don tuse towels
IhAveNoLifE1228: ok...
DrownedWorldToy: i am dirty
DrownedWorldToy: i do not clean myself
DrownedWorldToy: so you cannot use that argument
IhAveNoLifE1228: i knew it
IhAveNoLifE1228: you must use socks dont you cuz they are always on the floor
DrownedWorldToy: no i dont
DrownedWorldToy: i wear dyke hikes
DrownedWorldToy: OH WHAT NOW
IhAveNoLifE1228: oh yea dykes dont USE TOWELS
IhAveNoLifE1228: lol
DrownedWorldToy: no i mean i wear dyke hykes which means i DONT WEAR SOCKS idiot
DrownedWorldToy: oh WHAT NOW
IhAveNoLifE1228: oh
DrownedWorldToy: duh you idiot
DrownedWorldToy: haha
IhAveNoLifE1228: CUZ YOURE A DYKE
DrownedWorldToy: NO I AM NOT
IhAveNoLifE1228: lol
DrownedWorldToy: I LIKE THE PENIS SO SHUT THE FUCK UP BITCH
DrownedWorldToy: YOU WANT SOMETHING BITCH!?
IhAveNoLifE1228: the penis
IhAveNoLifE1228: ILL FUCK YOUR ASS UP
DrownedWorldToy: haha
DrownedWorldToy: ok
DrownedWorldToy: this is a dj convo
IhAveNoLifE1228: lol
IhAveNoLifE1228: omg leanne
DrownedWorldToy: omg you know what i just realized
DrownedWorldToy: you said i am a dyke
DrownedWorldToy: and i am listening to melissa etheridge, wearing my dyke hikes, and have my crew t-shirt on

My goodness.

OK I think that is my life updated!
